The plant palette is simple and clean, and reflects the style of the neighborhood and home. We added a wall fountain next to the ramada, with downlighting and a ceiling fan, along with matching downlighting and custom wood structure that spans the bbq. Raised garden beds and pots for the homeowners to grow were custom built, along with the ramada. The lawn is irrigated with subterranean irrigation system to avoid dogs and lawnmowers chewing up sprinkler heads.

Matching stain colors and using salvaged brick from the demo, we tied in the shade structure and sun shades that were attached by hanging them to the house.
#LANDSCAPE DESIGN PHOENIX HOW TO#
Working in this historic district, our design implementation was to create an oasis and outdoor environment that tied in seamlessly with the existing architecture of this historic home. Sofia Lomeli, an Arizona State University landscape architecture student, showed Phoenix city officials and residents how to incorporate native plants in landscaping to reduce water usage, during the student showcase at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center. Access to this project was through the alley gate only. Demo of a large concrete and tile patio with raised red brick planters, existing plants. Your dreams of fire and/or water features, shade structures and patio covers, outdoor kitchens and functional garden design can all be fulfilled by the landscaping team Phoenix has come to rely on for creative spaces, expert technicians and unmatched customer care. Located in historic downtown Phoenix Encanto neighborhood, this project began with an entire demo and removal of the sad and tired landscape that existed for years. Trueform landscape architecture studio was formed in 2012 with a passion for creating meaningful and memorable places.
